Art and craftsmanship have always been a part of my life.

Art and craft have always been a part of my life. This ranges from drawing and painting to jewelry making, stained glass, and knitting. I took painting classes in CEGEP and, as an adult, at the Visual Art Center. I finally returned to painting when I retired in 2020.

 

A blank canvas is like a new puzzle to me, just waiting to be solved. It's a chance to let my feelings out and, on the canvas, represent what I see in my mind. The most important piece of the puzzle is color; let me be more precise: bright, HAPPY colors.

The finished piece should make me smile every time I look at it and, I hope, make others smile too. Currently, my preferred medium is acrylic, often complemented by fabrics and beads.
