Heather Boyd
Hello, my name is Heather Boyd, and I am a mixed media artist and wire jewelry maker. I have a Fine Art Degree from the University of Guelph with a minor in Consumer Studies and Design. In 1989, I gave up a stressful Artistic Director job in Toronto to become a starving artist and street vendor in Montreal. I sold my hand-painted buttons in Old Montreal and morphed into jewelry design. For many years, I sold jewelry at Art shows and to boutiques, including The National Gallery of Canada, Musée des Beaux Arts in Montreal, and the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto.
I was among the original group of artists represented by Viva Vida Art Gallery in Pointe-Claire. The gallery carries my jewelry, bookmarks, and mixed-media wire and watercolor work.
I have taught workshops at the gallery and at local schools and libraries.
