Celine Bastien
As a child, I happily indulged in all things creative, especially crafts and needlework. Continuing this love of creativity into adulthood, I decided in 2008 to take watercolor classes, which I did for a year with three different teachers. A new job forced me to put it aside for seven years, and it wasn't until 2018 that I returned to painting, this time choosing acrylics as my medium and Bev Wight as my teacher. After two years with acrylics, I returned to watercolors, without, however, abandoning acrylics altogether.
My subjects are very varied. I love nature and flowers, and they are reflected in my paintings. I also enjoy abstract art, exploring it through various techniques. But what remains constant in my work is the use of joyful colors and the simplicity of the subject's interpretation.
