Dorothy MacDonald

I have always had a passion and a keen interest in creating artistic works. However, family responsibilities made it very difficult to pursue this dream, but I was still applying myself at that time to charcoal drawings and pastel paintings.

After raising a family, I took watercolor classes and immediately loved the medium. Most of my works depicted landscapes painted in an impressionistic style.

While continuing to paint and explore other mediums, I discovered an affinity with charcoal and pastel.

My current work is mainly done in pastels and focuses on drawing from a live model.

I continue to exhibit and I am currently studying art history.
