Elsy Torres

Elsy Torres was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. She graduated from the Autonomous University of the Caribbean in Barranquilla with a degree in Hotel Management.
She develops a taste for and discovers a certain talent in her passion for art as she develops her oil painting alongside renowned teachers and well-known artists.
After completing her studies, she settled in Montreal, where she married and raised her three children while also managing to obtain a degree in administration from Concordia University in Montreal.

Over the years, she has become involved in artistic associations such as the West Island of Montreal Artists' Circle, Traces Multiples (an artistic collective), and the Beaconsfield Artists' Association. She also continues to participate in art conferences to learn from her colleagues and her own experiences. Her artistic world has been built upon engaged and varied themes, drawing inspiration from spirituality, society, the concept of continuous learning, and the environment around us.

Subsequently, she will continue to devote all her attention to specific fine art techniques such as Mixed Media, which allow her to explore other media on which she can pour all her imagination.
Today, Elsy divides her time between her family life and art and continues to exhibit in Montreal after more than 20 years of experience in this field.
