Hélène Bertola
From my childhood, I was fascinated by colours, shapes, and manual arts in general. I inherited these great pleasures from my mother, who was from that generation that learned to do everything with their hands.
After experimenting with acrylics, I discovered watercolor, which became a passion. With Jacqueline Papineau Lespérance, I learned the interplay of color, water, and paper, as well as the pleasure of painting, while also learning to put in the work and perseverance.
I find my inspiration mainly in nature, its details, its changes in colours, textures, and temperatures with the seasons.
