Ina Varkala
I was born in London, England, where I spent 28 years of my life. I left high school with an A-Level in art. After several jobs that didn't suit me, I decided to enroll at the Art College.
I graduated with distinction and won first prize for my thesis on Lithuanian naive art, as both my parents are from Lithuania. Following that, I completed a three-year course in printed textiles and became a textile artist, working in London and then Montreal.
After retiring from textile design, a field where I learned to paint in various styles and with different textures, I took several courses to maintain my artistic skills, including courses on faux finishes and furniture painting. However, I believe I've found my niche, as my preferred media are now acrylics and watercolors, which I sometimes choose to mix.
My inspiration comes primarily from nature and wildlife.
