John Carlos Furtado

Born in Portugal on June 15, 1956
Immigrated to Canada in May 1961

45 years of career as a software engineer and later as an executive in the field of information technology.

I've loved art since I was very young, and I've drawn and painted all my life. Over the years, I've studied the works of many artists, from the classic Impressionists like Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh, to more contemporary artists such as Picasso, Dalí, and Warhol.

During my retirement a few years ago, I began painting full-time and have painted nearly 100 pieces during that time. I paint with acrylics and I like to use a lot of color in my work. It has become a kind of signature of my art. I belong to several art associations where we meet and organize art exhibitions regularly; these are:
