Marlene Smyth

Born in Montreal, Marlene began painting in her childhood. She created her elementary school projects using painting and drawing. She studied fine arts at Dawson College and Loyola College.

She eventually developed her distinctive style through abstract art and technique classes. The subjects of her works are varied and reflect her passions for life, travel, nature, ethnic origins, and fantasy. With a love for textures and vibrant colors, her works blend figurative abstraction with realism. Some canvases are created using acrylics, inks, and permanent colors, incorporating mixed media such as collage and textural materials.
