Patricia McDermott

Patricia McDermott, a resident of Montreal's West Island (Kirkland) since 1983, began her painting career in the 1990s. An active member of several art associations, she has participated in numerous exhibitions in the Montreal area. Primarily self-taught, she favors oil paint for its wonderfully vibrant colors, its softness, and its blending properties.

She has developed a remarkable realism in her depictions of fruit, and many remark that they look as if you could pick one and eat it. Some even try to touch her paintings, which feature a wooden table or background, to see if she actually painted on wood—it's just as realistic!

Her artistic work covers a wide range of subjects, including landscapes, cityscapes, flowers, children, and abstract art.

Patricia's works are part of private collections in several Canadian provinces, the United States, and Barbados.

Patricia has donated several works of art for auctions or raffles to benefit worthy charities.
